I would like to take this moment to give an enormous thank you to all of our new and returning dance families! We've had an amazing first two weeks of classes and can't wait to see where we go next! Thank you to returning dancers and parents for making our new students and parents feel welcome, thank you to our teaching assistants for putting your creativity and energy into our Preschool and Primary classes, and thank you to our teachers for providing fun, engaging, and challenging work for our dancers!
Now that we've all hopefully begun to settle into a nice routine, I have just a couple of notes, and some dates to be put on your calendars!
Dress Code
Please ensure that your dancer is adhering to the Dress Code for each class. If you are unsure of Dress Code requirements, please see the Program pages of our website. If you need help with hair (buns can be tricky!) there are often senior dancers in the lounge who will be happy to help, or you can ask your child's teacher for tips. If you are missing any items, please contact Cathy Thede of Steppin' Out ASAP. After September, students not in Dress Code may be asked to sit out of class.

Please ensure that you read all emails coming from hello@owensounddanceacademy.com carefully as they contain important information and news about classes, workshops, parties, field trips, meetings, and more! Halloween Party
There will be a HALLOWEEN PARTY at the studio on Friday, October 27th from 6-8pm! All Academy students are invited and encouraged to bring a friend! There will be games, snacks, crafts, prizes, and of course, lots of dancing! The party will also be followed by a spooky sleepover at the Academy for all dancers aged 12 and over. A sign up sheet will go up two weeks before the party, so make sure you RSVP!
Parents Observation
Parents and family members are invited to attend all of their child's classes at the Academy the week of November 13th-16th. Come see how much your dancer has learned in their first two months of dance!
That's all for now! I hope everyone has had an awesome experience at the Academy so far, and would like to personally welcome all of our new dancers and parents to the #AcademyFam. With the welcoming and social environment, great peers and role models, teamwork, fun activities, and caring and creative teachers and assistants, we really are like one big family, and that's pretty special. I can't wait to keep dancing with everyone next week!
